It's been months now

Since we last seen you smile

As the days went on

Without you near

We swallowed our tears

And walked with the pain

We fell down to our knees

But we got back up

We thought we walked

as far as we could

without you around

we tried and tried to move on

we cried for you many times before

now it's just time to let go

and be on our own

Things may have changed

But that is what you would have wanted us to do.
